Cookie policy

This site uses no profiling or advertising cookies. It sets one strictly necessary session cookie to remember the language you are reading in, and measures visits in aggregate form without cookies and without identifying you. The only third-party content, the Google map, stays off until you switch it on yourself.

01

What cookies are

Cookies are small text files a site stores in your browser so it can read them back on later visits. They keep pages working, remember your preferences or — the case the law treats most carefully — reconstruct your behaviour online for advertising purposes.

Alongside cookies there are similar tools (local storage, session storage, tracking pixels) subject to the same rules. On this page we call all of them «cookies» for simplicity.

Legal references: Article 122 of Italian Legislative Decree 196/2003, the Italian DPA's cookie guidelines of 10 June 2021 and Regulation (EU) 2016/679.

02

Strictly necessary cookies used by this site

Strictly necessary cookies are essential for the site to work and, as the Italian DPA has confirmed, do not require your prior consent. This site uses exactly one:

NameOriginPurposeDuration
NEXT_LOCALElocalhost:3000 (first party)Stores the language you are reading the site in, so the following pages stay in the same versionBrowser session

The cookie is stored when you pick a different language from the switcher, or when you open a page in a language other than your browser's preferred one. It contains nothing but the language code (`it` or `en`), has no set expiry date and is deleted when you close the browser.

03

Visit statistics without cookies

To understand which pages are read and how fast they load we use Vercel Web Analytics and Vercel Speed Insights, provided by Vercel Inc.

These tools set no cookies, use no persistent identifiers and build no user profile: browsing data is aggregated and visitors are neither identifiable nor recognisable from one day to the next. What we see is an anonymous count of visits, pages and loading times.

04

Third-party content

Some pages can embed content supplied by other companies. On this site it stays off until you turn it on: without your consent the element is not loaded and the provider receives neither your IP address nor any cookie.

Wherever the map is not active you still get the full address, the GPS coordinates and a link to open Google Maps in a new tab: opening it is your choice and happens outside this site.

05

How we collect and withdraw consent

On your first visit a banner appears at the bottom of the screen with two equally weighted buttons, «Accept» and «Reject». Neither is pre-selected and scrolling the page does not count as consent: until you choose, third-party content stays switched off.

Accepting allows the Google map to load; rejecting leaves only the technical language cookie active. Your choice is stored in your browser (in localStorage, not in a cookie) and is never sent to our servers: if you clear the site data, the banner comes back.

You can change your mind at any time from the «Cookie preferences» link at the bottom of every page: the banner reopens and your new choice replaces the previous one. Withdrawing consent stops the map from loading straight away; cookies Google has already set are removed from your browser settings.

06

What this site does not do

  • It uses no profiling, remarketing or behavioural advertising cookies.
  • It installs no Meta, TikTok, LinkedIn or other advertising pixels.
  • It shares none of your browsing data with ad networks or data brokers.
  • It loads no fonts from external servers: typefaces are served from our own domain, so Google does not receive your IP address when pages load.

07

How to manage or delete cookies

You can block or delete cookies at any time in your browser settings, including third-party cookies only. Bear in mind that disabling strictly necessary cookies may stop some features working properly, such as remembering your language.
